Located north from Malé, within the constellation of islands that
form the Noonu Atoll, Velaa Private Island opens 20 December
2013, bringing new meaning to “private moments” in the Maldives.
Velaa Private Island takes exclusivity to the next level with facilities
and service that go beyond traditional resorts. This is “an elegant
fusion of Maldivian culture with contemporary luxury, intimate with
Maldivian nuances”.
Velaa Private Island is the realisation of a dream to create a ‘be- yond luxury’ exclusive boutique hideaway in the Maldives. Velaa
means “Turtle Island” in the local language – named after gen- erations of sea turtles that flock there to nest and hatch.
The resort comprises 45 private villas, houses and exclusive resi- dences. While 18 of the 45 are built over water, the Romantic Pool
Residence can only be reached by boat, allowing even more pri- vacy and exclusivity.
Alongside dreamlike one and two-bedroom beach and water villas,
a particularly distinctive feature is four expansive 4-bedroom resi- dences in elegant contemporary design, which are each over 1,350
square metres, incorporating two terraces, a swimming pool and
courtyard. Velaa Private Residences comes equipped with personal
spa and gym rooms and can accommodate up to party of 10, a rar- ity in the archipelago which opens luxury travel options to groups of
friends or large families.
With three restaurants, two bars and a wine cellar, Michelin star in- spired dining is a resort signature, with a blend of French and Asian
cuisine, complemented by fresh produce and the resort’s private
herb garden.
The luxury academy is situated on 1.5 hectares of the pristine island
and has been creatively designed by Olazabal to allow the facility
to become a Par-3, 6-hole layout with multiple tee positions, creat- ing holes from 65 yards to 180 yards across 6 different greens, 7
bunkers and a 400m2
lake.

and “Best New Resort” by Linara Travel (LT) Maldives Awards

На севере от Malе, рядом с атоллом Нooну открылся роскош- ный курорт Velaa Private Island 20-го декабря 2013. Курорт дал
новое значение „уединённым мгновениям” на Мальдивах. Экс- клюзивность сооружений и услуг выделяют Velaa Private Island
среди традиционных курортов. Это - “изящный сплав мальдив- ской культуры с современной роскошью”.
Частный остров является реализацией мечты создания уль- тра роскошного убежища на Мальдивах. Курорт получил свое
название в честь особого вида черепах, обитающих на белых
песчаных пляжах острова. Гости Velaa Private Island могут раз- меститься в 45 роскошных виллах и резиденциях. 18 из этих
45 вилл построены над водой, а до уединенной „романтической”
виллы (Romantic Pool Residence) возможно добраться только на
лодке, будучи вдали от посторонних глаз.
Кроме сказочных пляжей и водных вилл с одной или двумя
спальнями, есть ещё одна большая особенность этого курорта
- гости могут выбирать из четырех резиденций с 4 спальня- ми, построенных в изящном современном дизайне, площадью
в 1,350 квадратных метров, каждая из них включает в себя две
террасы, бассейн и внутренний двор.
Резиденции имеют отдельный спа и спортзал и сюда могут по- селиться до 10 человек, что является редкостью в архипелаге.
Для дружеской компании или большой семьи откроется возмож- ность для отдыха и путешествий при роскошных условиях.
Меню трех ресторанов и двух баров удовлетворит вкусы даже
самых взыскательных любителей высокой кухни. За гастроно- мическую составляющую отдыха и за отличную французскую
и азиатскую кухню отвечает „мишленовский” шеф, который ис- пользует свежайшие ингредиенты.
Роскошная Академия гольфа расположена на 1.5 гектарах
нетронутого острова, дизайн разработан лично Олазабалем
(Olazabal). Гольф-площадка Пар-3 с 6-лунками, с искусственным
водоёмом площадью 400 м2
, имеет шесть гринов и 7 бункеров.
Velaa Private Island получил звание „Лучшего Мальдивского Ку- рорта” (Best Maldives Resort), и „Лучшего Нового Курорта” (Best
New Resort) от Линара Травел (LT) Maldives Awards (2014). ■
